Wally Kopelowitz, M.D., is a licensed and board certified ophthalmologist serving patients at New York Ophthalmology. He has extensive experience providing a range of eye health services, including pediatric care, and glaucoma and anterior segment treatment. He is dedicated to using his skills to help his patients see the world around them more clearly.
Education & Experience
Dr. Kopelowitz received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Witwatersrand, and then stayed there to earn his Doctor of Medicine. He finished an internship at Johannesburg General Hospital, and then a postgraduate fellowship in surgery at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
He also finished a residency at St. Johns Eye Hospital in South Africa, focusing on ophthalmology, and then another ophthalmology residency at Bron Lebanon Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in anterior segment and glaucoma at the State University of New York, Downstate.
